Dawn Ann Burger, age 61, of Corning, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 25, 1957 in Corning, the daughter of Philip and Carolyn (Hannel) Wead Sr. She married Harry W. Burger in 1974.
Dawn and her husband enjoyed traveling to and participating in rodeos, they raised bucking bulls and always had horses. She was a lifetime member and treasurer of the Crystal Valley Saddle Club. Dawn loved and adored all of her many friends and family. She lived to host large groups and cook for them. She was an avid animal lover and she advocated for their rights and an end to animal abuse.
She is survived by her husband, Harry W. Burger of Corning, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Nikki Burger of Corning, brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Loretta Wead Jr of Corning, sister and brother-in-law, Hope and Ernest Pozzi of Caton, granddaughter, Shelby Cornish of Corning, grandson, Steven Ilnicki, U.S Airforce, stationed at Ft. Tyndall, Florida, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind special family friends, Jody and Kim Payne and family and Elizabeth Tieje and family. Dawn's family will be eternally grateful for their love, care, and unconditional support. Dawn had so many special people in her life and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Dawn was predeceased by her son, Michael Burger.
It was Dawn's wish that there be no services.
