Obituary of Mabel Partridge
Mabel B. Partridge, age 91 passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Corning Center. Mabel was born in Troupsburg, NY on April 7, 1927 to Bert and Margaret (Burnside) Lane. She married Harold Partridge, Jr. on March 29, 1952 in Cameron Mills, NY. He predeceased her in 1992.
She was a longtime resident of Addison, NY. Mabel enjoyed music and playing the keyboard. She worked for J.J. Newberrys Department Store in Corning for 14 years. Mabel was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who raised her daughter, Lana with unsurpassed love. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren, and her special granddaughter, Shelly.
She is survived by grandchildren: Denny (Maureen) Burdick of Penfield, Tim (Ronald Undra Chandler) Burdick of Norfolk, VA, Michelle Burdick of Belmont, NY; great grandchildren: Clare and Shannon Burdick brother: John( Coralee) Lane of Horseheads, NY; close nephew: Daryn (Mae) Cheney of Addison; close niece: Dawn Cheney of Addison; along with many other nieces and nephews; close sister in law: Angie (Norm) Brush of Bath, NY, along with many other loving family members from the Partridge family.
Along with her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lana (Ted) Phillips; siblings, Virginia Rose, Alonzo Lane, Ada Burton, and Elva Cheney.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at Carpenter-Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison, NY on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00am with Rev. Mark Flandreau officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Addison Rural Cemetery.
