Obituary of Pamela Schutt

Pamela S. Schutt, age 55, of Newfane, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at home. She was born on February 8, 1963 in Corning, the daughter of Roy and Mary Schutt. She married Kathleen Elizabeth Colletti on February 29, 2012 in Newfane, New York. 

Despite the medical issues that Pam faced, she always was positive, encouraging and supportive, and lived life with a smile on her face.

 

Pam loved her cats, enjoyed jewelry making, rummage sales, computer gaming, and learning new things about history and science. She especially loved camping and traveling, but mostly spending time with Kathy and family. She was employed by Reed Elsevier in Texas as a Graphic Designer. 

 

She is survived by her parents, Roy and Mary Schutt of Corning, brother, Steven Schutt of New York City, aunt, Connie Carson of Corning, uncles Bob Slaven of Corning, Charles Finley of Montana, and Floyd (Terese) Schutt of Corning. The best years of her life were when she married Kathy and gained a family, including stepchildren, Renee (David) Detschner, Amber (Jake) Linkowski, all of Newfane, and Ron (Maggie) Colletti, Jr. of Oregon. Pam became a Lala (Grandma) to 7 grandchildren: Chloe, Oliver, Violet, and Caroline Colletti, and Jacob, Amelia, and Evelyn Linkowski. Pam also leaves behind several cousins and many friends.

 

She was predeceased by her aunts, Dorothy Slaven, Barbara Tallarida, and Joyce Innarelli, and an uncle, Sonny Schutt, paternal grandparents, Allison and Loretta Schutt, and maternal grandparents, Ruth and Russell Taylor.

 

Family and friends are invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 17 West Pulteney Street, Corning on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. A celebration of Pam’s life will follow there at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Hope Cemetery in Corning.
