Obituary of Brooke Makowiec
Brooke Anne Makowiec age 18, of Addison died Friday, December 9, 2005 at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva.
Brooke was born in Corning, NY on April 4, 1987, the daughter of Michael Makowiec and Tracie Terwilliger. She is a graduate of Addison High School, and is a freshman at Fingerlakes Community College in Canandaigua, NY. Brooke loved sports, especially softball and baseball. She was an avid Yankee fan, and no one was as great as "Jeter." She was the catcher for Addison's 2005 Section V softball champs. She was attending FLCC in the hopes of becoming a female sports commentator for ESPN so she could do "up front" interviewing inside the locker room. She had the best friendships. Brooke touched everyone's hearts by her personality and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her; mother, Tracie Makowiec of Corning; father, Michael (Joni) Makowiec of Addison; two brothers, Colton and Trent Makowiec of Addison, grandparents, Helen and Elwin Terwilliger of Addison and Albert and Melaine Makowiec of Blossburg, PA; aunts and uncles, Cory (Michelle) Terwilliger, Tammy (Mike) Crans, Georgette (Richard) Hall, Jani Chaborek, and James Makowiec; several cousins. Brooke was predeceased by her uncle Patrick Makowiec.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2005 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street in Corning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at St. Catherines of Siena Church, 51 Maple Street, Addison with Reverend Gerald O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Addison.
