Mary M. Dracz

Mary Margaret Magliocca Dracz passed away on April 10 at Founders Pavilion in Corning, NY. She was born in Corning, NY the daughter of Dominic and Rose Brown Magliocca.

Mary loved her church and was a member of All Saints Parish. She resided on First Street in Corning until moving to Green Meadows of Painted Post and then Founders Pavilion of Corning.

Mary was employed by Corning Glass Works in the Pension Department and had over 70 years of active and inactive service with them. She was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Club, loved Cruises of which she sailed more than 30 trips, loved the LPGA, The Lawrence Welk Show, was an avid Yankees fan and loved her favorite dish, pasta.

She married Stanley Dracz on February 18, 1939 in St. Marys Roman Catholic Church in Corning. Stanley predeceased her in 1968.

She was also predeceased in death by sister and brother in law Theodore and Madeline Wells, sister Genevieve Clark, brother and sister-in-law Louis and Rose Russo, sister-in-law Hazel (Robbye) Magliocca, brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Chan and Sophia Rowley and special nephew John Magliocca.

Mary loved her family and is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Henry and Theresa Magliocca and brother Joseph Magliocca of Corning. She is also survived by the following Nieces/Nephews and spouses:

We wish to thank all that assisted Mary including her staff/friends at Founders Pavilion and Green Meadows, Irene Buffomante (cousin), Bradley Horton, Patricia Konopski, Fred Grimaldi, Harriett Picarazzi and many others.

She was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend to all that knew her and will surely be missed.

Friends may call at the Philips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 West Pulteney Street, Corning on Monday April 11 from 4-7 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 12 at 10:00 am at St. Marys Church, Corning. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Parish in Marys name.
