Lanny G. Plumley, age 65, of Lindley, NY passed away at Arnot Ogden Medical Center surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He was born on April 22, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Harry and Donna (Thrall) Plumley.
Lanny married Kathi (Rhodes) Plumley on August 11th, 1972. The two remained by each other's side for the next 45 years.
Following graduation from Corning-Painted Post West High School in 1970 Lanny began working for US Steel. He graduated from trade school in 1977 and worked as a Pipefitter until his retirement from the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 267 in 2008.
During his time as a Pipefitter Lanny worked on numerous hospitals, schools, and the Nine Mile Point nuclear power plant in Oswego. He enjoyed being outdoors; boating, fishing, hunting, & spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife: Kathi Plumley; three children: Christopher Plumley, Corey (Janel) Plumley, and Amy (Colleen) Lacey-Plumley; two grandchildren; Jordan Cole and Kyra Plumley; sisters: Florence Okuna, Sandra Ramondo, Cynthia (Donnie) Congdon; brothers: Larry (Bonnie) Plumley, Terry Plumley, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Carpenter-Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall St. Addison, NY 14801 on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00am with certified celebrant Barb Rossi officiating.
