Janice L. Campbell, age 78, of Painted Post, NY passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. Janice was born October 3, 1938 in Addison, NY. She is the daughter of the late Larry Harndon and Helen Sortore. She married Gary Campbell on October 28, 1999.
She worked for most of her career for Corning Glass Works and later World Kitchen, retiring in 1997.
Janice was the center of the family's race team. She was passionate about supporting, feeding and cheering for the team. She was a very crucial part of Jack Family Racing.
Janice enjoyed anything to do with Halloween, solving jigsaw puzzles, her dogs, and adult coloring books. Janice had a zest for life and was a joy to be around; never one to get bored, she was always on to the next adventure.
She was a very talented seamstress and made many dresses for her daughters in their childhood. Whatever interest her grandchildren had, she supported them and cheered them on from football games to pageants and gymnastics. She will be remembered as a humble person who was always kind to others.
She is survived by her husband: Gary Campbell; five children: Tom (Jamie) Jack of Beaver Dams, NY, Andrew Jack of Painted Post, NY, Sandy (David) Malamed of Philadelphia, PA, Patty (Michael) Jacoy of Cornelius, NC and Cathy Dailey of Elmira, NY; three sisters: Debbie Corey of GA, Bonnie Butler of Elmira, NY and Sharon Maynard of Painted Post, NY; one brother: Gary Harndon of Painted Post, NY; seven grandchildren: Daniel, Brittany, Crystal, Jessie(Vinney Robles), Sammie, Lauren, Eileen; great grandchildren: Adam, Matthew, James, Nicholai, Aubrie, Jackson, Madalin, Mahayla, Micheal, Jennifer, Brittany, and Cheyann.
At Janice's request a private family service will be held.
