Carla J. Humphrey, age 61, of Crawford, CO passed away on August 1, 2017 peacefully in her sleep. She was born February 7, 1955 to Carl B. and Patricia L. (Knowlton) Loud in Blossburg, PA.
Throughout her life she had numerous jobs, making friends and working with the public was something that came natural to her. In her life she enjoyed gardening, cooking and sharing recipes. She was very creative with all types of crafts, such as purses, jewelry and skulls. For the last 15 years she was a caregiver to George, her companion that was blind and disabled. She was fantastic at everything but was the most loving caregiver, not only to George, but to anyone she knew. Her family was her priority, she was proudest of reconnecting and developing a relationship with her sons.
She is survived by companion: George Lopez of Crawford, CO, two sons: Chad (Jen Regan) Humphrey of Corning, NY, Adam (Michelle) Makitra of Bath; parents: Carl and Patricia Loud of Mooresville, NC; siblings: Cheryl Maxey of Mooresville, NC, Paula Windows of Addison, NY; four grandchildren: Alec, Connor and Jace Makitra, Danny Humphrey; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Humphrey, and her brother-in-law, Milson Windows.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Baldwin Ave, Addison, NY on Saturday August 26th, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Scott Greene officiating.
