Anthony D. Tony Micheli, age 77, of Corning passed away Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Corning Hospital, Corning.
Tony was born June 23, 1928 in Corning, NY the son of the late Dominic and Angelina (Berto) Micheli. He was also predeceased by his step father, Louis Ferraro, Sr. He was married to Elsie M. (Pearman) Micheli for many loving years.
He was employed by Corning Glass Works as a Technician for 40+ years. Tony was an avid golfer for many years. He loved to watch football, especially the Buffalo Bills, and baseball, especially the New York Yankees. Tonys most cherished times were spent just being with his family and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elsie M. Micheli; children, David (Carol) Micheli of Rochester,NY, Deborah (William) Hallett of Rochester, NY, and Dawn (William) Stratton of Florida; stepchildren, John (Nancy) Marshall of Alabama, James Marshall of Florida, Barbara Miller of Painted Post, NY, Jennifer (David) Thompson of Honeoye Falls, NY, Kerry (Greg) McIlwain of Corning, NY, and Angela Wilson of South Carolina; sisters, Rosemary (Lou) Ferraro of Las Vegas, NV, Joanne Bond of Rush, NY, and Joyce Roddy of Rochester, NY; 18 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; several Aunts and Cousins locally; several nieces and nephews; and a very special poodle, Coco.
Tonys Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street, Corning.
Burial will be in Chapel Knoll Cemetery.
