Pearl Munn, age 81, of LaBelle, FL passed away Monday, October 3, 2005 in Ft. Myers, FL
Pearl was born April 30, 1924 at Corning, NY the daughter of the late James T. and Ida Mae (Smith) Thompson. She attended Corning Free Academy before she married Charles Munn on January 16,1962 in Georgia. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Corning before they moved to Concord, NC in 1988 then to LaBelle, Fl five years later.
She was a Homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxillary. In her spare time, she was an avid bowler, crocheter, and fan of country western music. But she could never turn down a card game, especially euchre, poker and pinochle.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Munn; children, Debra Benjamin of China Grove, NC, Scott (Sandie Hanrahan) Munn of Corning, NY, and Phillip (Brandy Barringer) Munn of Kannapolis, NC; daughter in law, Irene Benjamin of Addison, NY; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Barbara) Thompson of Corning, NY, Albert (Shelly) Decker of Texas, and David Thompson of Savona, NY; sister, Lavinia Wilbur of Corning, NY; Three half sisters.; sister in law, Shirley (Robert) Raish of Hornell, NY; brother in law, Charles Erskine of Dresden, NY. She was predeceased by her sons, Rodney Benjamin and Daniel Benjamin.
Pearls family will receive friend on Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 11 until 1 PM at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY where her Memorial Service will follow 1PM. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
