Christopher Wade Nobriga, age 51, of Cortland, formerly of Addison, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He was born on July 16, 1966 in Bath, the son of Francis P. and Sandra (Wade) Nobriga.
Christopher was a gentle soul who touched so many lives especially his family in Addison as well as his many friends in Cortland. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Addison, he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, he enjoyed country music, and his favorite color was purple. Christopher graduated from Addison High School and he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on board the USS Midway. While enlisted, he worked in the computer room serving in the office of the flight commander.
He is survived by his parents, Francis P. and Sandra W. Nobriga, brother and sister-in-law, Stefan and Deb Nobriga of Addison, and nieces, Cassandra (Allen) Warren of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Jessica Nobriga of Corning, step-niece Sarah Sullivan of Waverly, special aunts, Diana Gallagher, Pauline Donajkowski, Phyllis Davis, and Emily Nobriga, very special friend Mae Tanner, and many cousins.
A celebration of Christopher's life will take place at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 1 Wombaugh Square, Addison, on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Full Military Honors and burial will take place at Addison Rural Cemetery on Sunday following the church service.
