Faye Aletha Edsall, age 90, of Painted Post, formerly of Cameron Mills, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born on February 22, 1927 in Corning, the daughter of Minor Clair and Ruby May (Putman) DuVall.
Faye graduated from Campbell Schools in 1944 and the she briefly worked at Corning Glass Works. She was a proud farmer's wife and she cherished her children and grandchildren. Faye was always a happy, smiling soul who was very compassionate and never had an ill word to say about anyone. She enjoyed playing euchre and she was a wonderful cook. Faye was Postmaster for the Cameron Mills Post Office and she retired from there following 24 years of service. After retirement, she and Harold would travel to Florida every winter. Faye always said that she would be ready to walk up to the Lord when he called her home.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Roy Edsall, her children, Linda (David) Hojnoski of Canada, Gary (Molly) Richtmyer of Penn Yan, Michael Richtmyer of Savona, and Paula Kohut of Elkland, four step-children, a sister, Jean Peacock of Bath, thirteen grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Faye was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Richtmyer, a daughter, Joan Hickock, and a sister, Claire Jacobs.
It was Faye's wish that there be no visitation. A private funeral service will take place at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Town Line Cemetery.
