James Patrick Clark, III, age 72, of Painted Post died Monday, July 25, 2005 at Corning Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Corning on May 25, 1933, he was the son of Joseph and Ruth (Johnson) Clark. Jim graduated from Painted Post High School in 1953. He served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He retired to this area ten years ago from Katonah, NY. Jim was a craftsman who enjoyed carpentry. He loved hunting, gardening, farming, all animals, and cooking one of his wonderful creations for his beloved family and friends to enjoy. In 1960, he married Beatrice Scova with whom he had three children.
He is survived by his children: Dr. Joseph Clark of Cincinnati, OH, James Clark IV and his wife Ann of Ann Arbor, MI, and Kathleen Fullerton and her husband Peter of Hopewell Junction, NY; grandchildren, James H., Tanner J., & Connor A. Fullerton; his second family, Debbie Jones of Painted Post and her three children; Stephanie, Michael, and Samantha and two grandchildren; Colby and Caden; three sisters, Mary Sardinia of Painted Post, Ednah Adubato and her husband Robert of Randolph, NJ, and Lynda Welty and her husband Gary of Manchester, TN; aunt, Bertha Clark of Port Charlotte, FL.; and many nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street from 5:00 until 7:00pm where his funeral service will follow at 7:00pm. Interment will be private.
