Cynthia L. Crossman, age 58, of Campbell, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief battle with an unexpected diagnosis of cancer. Cynthia was born on July 27, 1959 in Bath, the daughter of Thomas and Marcia (Kimball) Shaver. Cynthia and Harold D. Crossman married in Avoca on June 29, 1996.
Cynthia was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother. Cynthia liked animals, enjoyed gardening, baking, and crafts. Cynthia was a home health aide as well a dedicated caregiver. Cynthia will sadly by missed by her family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 21 years, Harold, mother, Marcia Shaver, step-mother, Loretta Shaver, sons, Shaun (Lisa) Hagadone, Adam (Jennifer) Hagadone, and Nathan (Tracey) Hagadone, step-sons, Harold Douglas Crossman and Bill Crossman, step-daughter, Karie (Jason) Verbeke, sister, Tina McLaughlin, brother, Tim (Paula) Shaver; grandchildren, Dylan, Madison, Zack, Logan, Matthew, Meaghan, Cole, Mallory, Ben, and Myah, and many nieces and nephews. Cynthia was predeceased by her father, Thomas Shaver and sister, Laurie Shaver.
Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 East Pulteney Street, Corning, on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A celebration of Cynthia's life will follow there at 7:00 pm.
