Nancy I. Conner age 60, of Thorn Street in Corning, NY died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Corning Hospital.
Nancy was born in Corning on June 11, 1944, to Norman and Iris (Demonstoy) Taft. She married Charles L. Conner in 1970 in Risingville, NY. She had been a teachers aide, worked in the kitchen of several schools and Meals on Wheels. Nancy worked as caregiver and housekeeper in the Corning area. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Corning Lodge, and the Painted Post Lioness Club.
She is survived by her husband Charles at home, her parents, Norman and Iris Taft of Savona, NY; two sons, Charles Jr. (Robin) Conner of Corning and Michael Conner of Corning; four sisters, Sue Taft of Sacramento, CA, Christine Snyder of Bath, NY, Tamela Harndon of Savona, NY, and Georgann (George) Cratsley of Savona; one brother, Norman Taft of Bath; grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Destiny Conner; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1 - 3 and 6 - 8 PM at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8:00 PM with Chaplain Kit Tobin officiating.
