Biography
Rose Ann "Rosie" Fasick, age 70, of Big Flats, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy (Owlett) Abbey Palmer. She married William Fasick July 23, 1960.
She was born and raised in Westfield Pa. and later Corning. Rosie graduated from Corning Free Academy in 1959. She was skilled at cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting. Rosie spent summers gardening and falls canning. She was a kind, down to earth woman with a sense of humor who did not care to draw attention to herself. She will be deeply missed.
Rosie is survived by her husband of 51 years: William Fasick; son: Stephen Fasick of Big Flats; daughter: Julie (Nolan) Hill; grandchildren: Tyler and Brittany Hill of Elmira; brother: Harold Abbey of Corning; sisters: Helen (Lyle) Thiele of Mount Morris, Betty (James) Anthony of Martinsville, VA; brother-in-law: Ronald (Carol) Fasick of Elkland; sister-in-law: Toni Fasick and partner Jay Morales of Big Flats; and several nieces, nephews and their children.
She is predeceased by her step-father: Carlton Palmer, brother: Edwin Abbey, and sister-in-law: Eleanor Abbey.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 12:30PM-2:30PM. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:30PM with Pastor Tom Bell officiating.
Burial will be in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats.
