Constance C. Prescott, age 90, of Corning, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at Absolut Care at Three Rivers. She was born on August 23, 1919 in Wellsboro, the daughter of George and Marium (Force) Crites. She married Glenn A. Prescott on January 20, 1995 at the Assembly Of God Church in Corning.

Connie attended the Campbell Alliance Church, the Assembly of God Church in Corning, and the Painted Post Baptist Church. She graduated from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and worked as a registered nurse at Corning Hospital. Connie was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she loved all children, especially her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn A. Prescott of Corning, children, Charles Oliver of Hilo, Hawaii, Mary (Bernt) Hoppert of Santa Rosa, California, Thomas Oliver of Corning, and Theodore (Rebecca) Hale of Massachusetts, sister, Janet Cotton of Montour Falls, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, LLC, 14 East Pulteney Street, Corning, on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Connie's funeral service will follow there at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place at Chapel Knoll Cemetery on Monday at 1:00 pm.
